East Ayrshire Council Corporate Procurement Team ensures that contracts for works, supplies and services are awarded after formal tendering in the marketplace. All of the Council’s procurements are carried out in compliance with EU Procurement Directives & Regulations, UK Competition Law and best practice.
The Council is committed to carrying out its contract procurements in a professional, discreet, confidential and transparent manner. The Council’s procurement page and its links are designed to make contractors aware of the way that contracts are procured, by whom and when, with an emphasis on electronic communications and eTendering.
To ensure that "Best Value" contracts are secured, many of the Council's tendering exercises utilise the Most Economically Advantageous Tender award criteria. The actual award criteria and their weightings are always stated in the tender documents. Feedback to unsuccessful tenderers is always provided to assist the tenderer in future projects.
