Diamond Light Source is the UK's national synchrotron – a scientific research facility that produces extremely bright pinpointed beams of light in the form of X-rays, ultraviolet and infrared light. Based in south Oxfordshire, Diamond's synchrotron light is used by scientists throughout the UK and worldwide to scrutinise matter and material down to the scale of molecules and atoms, enabling scientific breakthroughs to help solve the issues and questions that face the world today.
